EDINBURGH LODGE INFO
Whether you are here for business or leisure, for one night or one week, we will ensure we do everything we can to make your stay with us memorable and help you get the most out of your visit and this incredible city.
Edinburgh is built on a volcanic landscape of hills and valleys formed some 350 million years ago.
The unique character of the city comes from the contrast between the Old and New Town, with each area containing many historic buildings. The medieval Old Town has kept much of its distinctive pattern of narrow passageways, known as closes. The New Town was first designed in 1767 and is the largest complete example of town planning from the period.
Edinburgh has been the capital of Scotland for over 500 years and has approximately 500,000 inhabitants.
The Lodge was built in 1836 and was originally a manse house for the church next door. The Lodge was converted into a hotel around 30 years ago, but still incorporates the same stained glass window and symbols found in the church.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Edinburgh Lodge.
